Linux - Ubutu: Tamil fonts rendering in Google Chrome

If you've trouble reading the tamil fonts in your Google browser follow the below steps,

Remove FreeSans.ttf and FreeSerif.ttf from /usr/share/fonts/truetype/freefont directory. Your problem will be resolved for sure :)

  6. I have CentOS installed in my system. The tamil fonts were not displaying in chrome properly, though it is working fine on firefox. I tried to follow the steps mentioned in this article, but there is no truetype folder inside fonts directory! is there a workaround for my issue?
